KNOW YOUR FOOT
Every panel in this book names the part of the boot that touches the ball. These are RIGHT feet
seen from above, except the sole and studs, which are seen from underneath.
INSIDE
The big flat side, where your
feet face each other. Passing,
and most turns.
OUTSIDE
The little-toe side, facing
away. Running touches, and
every disguise.
LACES
The bony top of your foot.
Shooting, and dribbling at
speed.
SOLE
The bottom, seen from
underneath. Stopping, rolling,
dragging back.
STUDS
The front of the bottom. Toe
rolls and roll-backs.
HEEL
The back of the boot.
Back-heels, and flicks behind
you.
Stand with your feet apart and look down. The edges facing each other are your INSIDES.
